Very nice place. I love the decor and atmosphere. The shrimp roll, crab bisque, and gluten free chocolate cake were all delicious. Highly recommend.

Growing up in State College and attending Penn State, Gigi's was always a fun spot to go with friends for a fancy night out or a special occasion! So many memories at Gigi's — from Prom dinner, to Valentine's Day, to eating out back with my family during COVID. I now live in Charleston, SC and recently ate at Gigi's when I was home and had such a great experience! Our server was friendly and knowledgable of the menu, the cocktails were upscale and delicious, and the food was great. Having lived in the South for many years now, I can honestly say this is authentic southern cuisine that you can't find anywhere else in Central PA!

This was a long time coming. New chef ?? New owners?? Maybe but from the first time to this time, a completely different appeal the food was very good this time around the service was excellent and the atmosphere more refined relaxed plating service was fantastic very happy price is a little bit high but the entire experience warrants the high check

Their menu is full of mouthwatering options, but as soon as I saw Fried Green Tomatoes, I knew I had to try them—and they did not disappoint! Every dish had that special southern touch, showcasing farm-to-table freshness and bold flavors that made me feel right at home. Had reservations and beat the crowd so no wait time for seating, but did notice a wait time for others. Food was outstanding . Country fried chicken was well worth it. Sampled some other dishes that we ordered and all very good. Dress casual accepted .

I was looking for a place to break the tedium of college town food. Located just outside of State College this lovely restaurant has class and sophistication, yet not so foofoo that we "ordinary folks" can show up in casual clothes and not feel uncomfortable. Outdoor seating for casual gatherings, with a tented area for dining, indoor pub-style high-top tables, or classy seating options. The menu offers a variety of Southern/Cajun food with options for all tastes and dietary needs. Others have complained about service, but I did not have this experience in my two visits. I don't like an obtrusive server, and my server always seemed to be readily available. I think the food is reasonably priced. It's a little more expensive, but the atmosphere, selection of food, taste of food, service, and my overall impression of the dining experience make this worth it. Friday night dinner, and Sunday brunch. Sunday brunch was delicious and there wasn't the wait associated with other places.

Gigi’s is an outstanding choice for a classy but comfortable dinner in State College! We loved the eclectic dining rooms throughout the restaurant and ample seating. Every room seemed to have its own unique style and atmosphere. We sat on the outside patio on graduation weekend, and although the weather was cold and wet, this expansion room had plenty of roof heaters to keep the room comfortable. When the weather is nicer, they open the doors open to be open air. Service was very pleasant and attentive. Food across the board was great! I had the shrimp and grits and thought it was perfectly prepared. Their drink options were very creative. Desserts looked good too. Only a few minutes outside of downtown State College on West College Ave, Gigi’s is worth a visit to enjoy some good, southern style food!

This past Saturday night, Gigi’s took in our Wedding Rehearsal party of over 40 people with not much notice, due to a power outage at our original venue. The staff was very professional, food, drinks were enjoyed by all. What could have been a disaster was truly a wonderful evening. Thank you!
